About the role#
Flex is looking for a Manufacturing Data & Analytics Co-Op to join our team in Libertyville, Illinois. You will report to the Process & Automation Engineering team. This role focuses on supporting manufacturing data analysis, tracking OEE, and developing dashboards for our molding and coiling operations.
What you'll do#
- Build Power BI dashboards to track OEE, downtime, scrap, and cycle time.
- Write SQL queries to pull production data.
- Use Python for data analysis and to write automation scripts.
- Create and maintain SPC charts, including X-bar, R, and Cpk analysis.
- Assist with the integration of coiler data collection.
- Support initiatives related to predictive maintenance analytics.
- Attend team meetings to contribute to ongoing project work.
What you'll need#
- You are a Junior or Senior student pursuing a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
- You have a 3.0 GPA or higher and are currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited university.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI.
- A basic understanding of statistics.
- Knowledge of manufacturing KPIs like OEE, downtime, scrap, and cycle time.
- Exposure to predictive maintenance concepts and data collection.
- Previous manufacturing internship experience is a plus.

- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
