About the role#
The Administrative Fellowship is a two-year program at Allegheny Health Network. It provides broad exposure to the organization and helps cultivate future leaders. The first year consists of multiple short-term rotations, followed by a year-long rotation in the final year. You will receive mentorship, attend executive lunch and learn sessions, and gain guidance from senior leaders. This role is designed to build your business acumen and professional skills within a healthcare setting.
What you'll do#
- Attend, facilitate, and conduct meetings, often working directly with the leadership team.
- Lead and contribute to a portfolio of 3-6 projects focused on organizational priorities across hospitals and service lines.
- Identify, develop, and implement measurable process improvement initiatives.
- Communicate with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to resolve operational challenges.
- Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making and formulate recommendations.
- Participate in recruitment efforts and program branding to support the ongoing success of the fellowship.
What you'll need#
- A Master's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Health Administration, Health Services Administration, or Public Health.
- Graduation with your Master's degree within approximately one year of the program start date.
- Demonstrated leadership potential through academic, professional, or extracurricular activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A genuine interest in healthcare innovation and improving patient outcomes.
