About the role#
This Cardiac Cath Technologist Intern role supports the catheterization lab team by performing radiographic imaging procedures. You will work under the direct supervision of a technologist to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Prepare for and assist physicians during catheterization lab procedures.
- Apply your knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular physiology and procedural techniques.
- Operate lab equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with support personnel alongside your preceptor.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions or conditions during procedures and respond as needed.
- Manage documentation, including image storage and archival.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in good standing in a radiology technologist program.
- Active CPR certification.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance.
