About the role#
The Cardiac Cath Technologist Intern performs radiographic imaging procedures and assists providers within the catheterization lab. This role operates under the direct supervision of a technologist and requires the application of technical knowledge, independent judgment, and initiative to support patient care.
What you'll do#
- Prepare for and assist physicians during catheterization lab procedures by applying knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular physiology, pathophysiology, and procedural techniques.
- Operate and troubleshoot equipment in collaboration with a preceptor, contacting support personnel when necessary.
- Monitor procedural activities to identify and respond to adverse reactions or conditions.
- Complete all required procedure documentation, including image storage and archival.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment and good standing in a radiology technologist program.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance.
