About the role#
This internship offers the opportunity to perform radiographic imaging procedures and assist providers in the catheterization lab. You will work under the direct supervision of a technologist to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting. This is a full-time, on-site, unpaid position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare for and assist physicians with catheterization lab procedures using your knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular physiology.
- Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment in collaboration with your preceptor.
- Monitor procedural activities to identify and respond to adverse reactions or conditions.
- Handle documentation for procedures, including image storage and archival.
- Take on other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A High School diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment and good standing in a radiology technologist program.
- CPR certification.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance.
