Cardiac Cath Technologist Intern

About the role#

The Cardiac Cath Technologist Intern performs radiographic imaging procedures and assists providers within the catheterization lab. This role operates under the direct supervision of a technologist to perform technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative.

What you'll do#

• Prepare for and assist physicians during catheterization lab procedures by applying knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular physiology, pathophysiology, and procedural techniques.
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment in collaboration with a preceptor, contacting support personnel when necessary.
• Monitor procedural activities to identify and respond to adverse reactions or conditions.
• Manage documentation for procedures, including the storage and archival of images.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• High School diploma or GED.
• Current enrollment and good standing in a radiology technologist program.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance.
