About the role#
As a Cardiac Cath Technologist Intern, you will perform radiographic imaging procedures and assist providers in the catheterization lab. You will work under the direct supervision of a technologist to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Prepare for and assist physicians during catheterization lab procedures by applying your knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular physiology.
- Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment in collaboration with your preceptor.
- Monitor procedural activities to identify and respond to adverse patient reactions or conditions.
- Handle documentation for procedures, including image storage and archival.
- Take on additional duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A High School diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment and good standing in a radiology technologist program.
- Active CPR certification.
- Ability to obtain Act 34 Criminal Background, Act 33 Child Abuse, and Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting clearances.
