About the role#
The IDEAS Fellow supports the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access Strategies (IDEAS) ecosystem at The Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts. You will work directly with the Chief Culture & People Officer to assist with organizational culture, employee engagement, and community impact initiatives. This role provides exposure to executive leadership and strategic planning within a performing arts environment.
What you'll do#
- Partner with the Chief Culture & People Officer to support the IDEAS ecosystem.
- Coordinate and staff IDEAS-related meetings, committees, and programs.
- Provide administrative support including scheduling, calendar management, and materials preparation.
- Track budgets, expenses, and invoicing for IDEAS initiatives.
- Conduct research, benchmarking, and data analysis to inform organizational strategy.
- Draft, proofread, and edit reports, presentations, and communication materials.
- Collaborate with internal groups including the Musician EDI Committee and the IDEAS Staff Engagement Group.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student status is preferred.
- At least two years of senior-level administrative experience is preferred.
- Experience writing reports, proposals, presentations, or other communication materials.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and handle multiple projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills, discretion, and attention to detail.
Location & details#
- Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This is an unpaid fellowship.
- Schedule: Approximately 20 to 25 hours per week.
- The role requires a flexible schedule to support meetings and events, including occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
