About the role#
Nexstar Media Group offers internships for students pursuing degrees in journalism, communications, or media studies. You will gain practical experience across departments such as news, production, creative services, and community development. This is a paid, on-site opportunity based in Salt Lake City.
What you'll do#
- Engage in a structured learning experience throughout the 15 week program.
- Work 16 hours per week.
- Operate, set up, and lift equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Handle professional communication via telephone and email.
- Make independent decisions that impact project outcomes.
- Complete a written performance review with your supervisor at the end of the term.
- Perform tasks in various environments, including indoor studios and outdoor locations.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a senior in your final year of study.
- Advanced skill level to manage complex project requirements.
- A collaborative mindset and a desire to learn.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
