About the role#
We are looking for a Category Management Intern to support our product categories, including gloves, helmets, hearing protection, and eyewear. You will gain hands-on experience in product strategy, market research, and competitive analysis. You will work alongside our Category Management, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to support initiatives that drive growth and improve product positioning.
What you'll do#
- Research competitor products, pricing, features, and positioning.
- Analyze sales, product, and market data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Build and maintain Excel reports and tracking tools.
- Support the preparation of materials for category reviews, sales meetings, and product training.
- Assist with product launches, updates, and the development of sales tools.
- Organize feedback regarding customer needs and competitive activity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate project findings and recommendations.
- Complete assigned projects that support business objectives.
- Participate in professional development activities and team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Communications, or a related field.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Prior internship, project, or work experience in a business-related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes, including Salesforce.com and SAP Business One.

- Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan.
- Term: Summer 2027 (14-week program).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid internship.
