About the role#
We are looking for a creative Videography Intern to join our New Media team for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside our New Media Director to produce video content for social media, product marketing, and digital platforms. This is a 14-week, full-time role based at our corporate headquarters. You will gain hands-on experience in the full production cycle, from initial concept to final edit.
What you'll do#
- Capture footage in our studio and on-site using company-provided lighting, audio, and video gear.
- Develop creative concepts for short-form video and product-focused content.
- Edit raw footage into polished, brand-aligned deliverables.
- Enhance your storytelling with motion effects, graphics, sound design, and music.
- Stay current on social media and video trends to identify new content opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to execute creative projects.
- Support our photography and cinematography needs.
- Manage video projects and track your time using tools like JIRA.
- Maintain our digital archives and video equipment.
- Use AI tools to improve efficiency in your editing and creative workflows.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Film, Video Production, Media Production, Graphic Design, Creative Writing, Marketing, or a related field.
- You are a 2027 or 2028 graduate.
- You have a working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition.
- You possess basic photography and cinematography skills.
- You have strong organizational skills and pay close attention to detail.
- You can demonstrate your creative thinking and storytelling abilities.
- You have prior experience creating digital content through coursework, personal projects, or internships.
- You are comfortable creating content for social media platforms.
- Please provide a portfolio or examples of your creative work.
Location & details#
- This internship is located on-site in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
- The term is 14 weeks, starting May 17, 2027.
- This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
- This is a paid internship.
