About the role#
HPE Networking is looking for a Business Development Technology Alliances Intern to join our Strategy and Business Development organization. You will support the planning, analysis, and execution of technology alliance and solution programs across our portfolio, including routing, switching, security, wireless LAN, and software solutions. This role reports to the Vice President of Business Development and focuses on building partnerships that advance our growth strategy.
What you'll do#
- Partner with Corporate Strategy, Product Management, and Field Solutions teams to identify and prioritize target solutions and partners.
- Develop strategic assessments and business cases, including financial and P&L impact analyses.
- Prepare partnership plans and communicate key recommendations, milestones, and decisions to stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and track deliverables from initial assessment through deal completion.
- Support contract negotiations with technology alliance partners.
- Conduct market, partner, and competitive analysis to inform alliance strategy and investment decisions.
- Build financial models and create executive-ready presentations.
- Support additional strategic initiatives related to the HPE Networking technology partner portfolio.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, business, economics, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure complex problems.
- Experience or demonstrated capability in financial analysis and Excel-based modeling.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience or coursework in business development, strategy, or partnership models.
- Familiarity with P&L analysis and business-case development.
- Demonstrated interest in networking, cloud, cybersecurity, or enterprise technology markets.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
