About the role#
This internship provides hands-on exposure to business development, talent acquisition, government contracting, and proposal management. You will work closely with the Senior Growth Staffing Manager to support recruitment activities and administrative operations. This role is a hybrid position based in Tampa, Florida.
What you'll do#
- Identify and research prospective candidates for government contracting opportunities.
- Source candidates using LinkedIn, job boards, and applicant tracking systems.
- Review resumes to compare qualifications against position requirements.
- Manage candidate outreach, interview scheduling, and follow-up communications.
- Maintain accurate records, candidate trackers, and staffing matrices.
- Collect and organize resumes, letters of intent, and certification documents.
- Format resumes and review documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with drafting job requisitions and screening questions.
- Schedule internal staffing meetings and prepare status reports.
- Organize electronic files within Microsoft SharePoint and maintain Excel trackers.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Management, or Marketing. Recent graduates are also eligible.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to read, summarize, and analyze detailed information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Capacity to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Willingness to learn new software and internal recruiting processes.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
