About the role#
This BCBA Fellowship provides a structured clinical program for individuals pursuing certification. Fellows receive paid supervision hours and gain experience in both restricted and unrestricted activities as defined by the BACB. The role focuses on providing one-on-one ABA behavior interventions to teach communication, daily living skills, and positive behaviors while working toward the requirements to sit for the BCBA exam.
What you'll do#
- Build positive and trusting relationships with clients through social interaction.
- Encourage the development of communication, social skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Collect unbiased behavior data and communicate findings with RBTs, BCBAs, families, and clinical directors.
- Train staff and caregivers on behavior-analytic programs.
- Conduct behavior-analytic assessments and research literature relevant to client programming.
- Work directly with a BCBA Mentor on guided practice of the BCBA role.
- Write and revise behavior-analytic programs while maintaining compliance with the BACB Ethical Compliance Code.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or graduation from a BACB approved Master’s or Certification Program. Eligible programs must be ABAI/APBA accredited or have a BACB reported exam pass rate of 60 percent or higher for three consecutive years.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with families and recording session notes.
- Ability to pass the RBT exam within 30 days of employment.
- Must be an active RBT for 60 days with Helping Hands Family.
- Relevant academic background in Psychology, Public Health, Nursing, Human Resources, or Criminal Justice.
