BCBA Fellowship - Field Work

About the role#

This fellowship provides paid supervision hours through a structured clinical program designed to help candidates meet the requirements to sit for the BCBA exam. Fellows provide one-on-one ABA behavior interventions and complete unrestricted activities as defined by the BACB. The program includes a 7-level development curriculum, BCBA mentorship, and access to exam preparation resources.

What you'll do#

• Build trusting relationships with clients through social interaction.
• Encourage the development of communication, social skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Guide clients toward safe behaviors and provide positive reinforcement to increase desirable outcomes.
• Collect unbiased behavior data and communicate proactively with the clinical team and families.
• Train staff and caregivers on behavior-analytic programs.
• Conduct assessments, research relevant literature, and write or revise behavior-analytic programs.
• Work directly with a BCBA Mentor on guided practice of the BCBA role.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or graduation from a BACB-approved Master’s or Certification Program (must meet specific exam pass rate or accreditation criteria).
• Ability to pass the RBT exam within 30 days of employment.
• Must serve as an active RBT with Helping Hands Family for at least 60 days.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with families and recording session notes.
• Majors in Psychology, Public Health, Nursing, Human Resources, or Criminal Justice are relevant to this clinical path.
