About the role#
This BCBA Fellowship provides paid supervision hours through a structured clinical program. Fellows deliver one-on-one ABA behavior interventions to teach communication, daily living skills, and positive behaviors. The role includes opportunities to complete unrestricted activities as defined by the BACB to help meet the requirements to sit for the BCBA exam. This position is a full-time, paid opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Build trusting relationships with clients through social interaction.
- Encourage the development of communication, social skills, and problem-solving by guiding clients toward safe behaviors.
- Gradually reduce prompts to promote independent responses.
- Increase the duration and occurrence of desirable behaviors using positive reinforcement.
- Accurately collect unbiased behavior data.
- Communicate proactively with RBTs, BCBAs, families, and Clinical Directors.
- Engage in unrestricted activities including staff training, conducting behavior-analytic assessments, researching relevant literature, and writing behavior-analytic programs.
- Work with a BCBA mentor on guided practice of the BCBA role.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or graduation from a BACB approved Master’s or Certification Program. Programs must be ABAI/APBA accredited or have a BACB reported exam pass rate of 60% or higher for three consecutive years.
- Ability to pass the RBT exam within 30 days of employment.
- Must be an active RBT for 60 days with Helping Hands Family.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for recording session notes and speaking with families.
- Degrees in Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, Sociology, Human Resources, Criminal Justice, or Biology are relevant to this field.
