About the role#
This fellowship provides paid supervision hours through a structured clinical program. You will provide one-on-one ABA behavior interventions to teach communication, daily living skills, and positive behaviors. The role allows you to complete unrestricted activities as defined by the BACB to help meet the requirements to sit for the BCBA exam.
What you'll do#
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with clients through social interaction.
- Encourage the development of communication, social skills, and problem-solving.
- Gradually reduce prompts to promote independent responses.
- Accurately collect unbiased behavior data.
- Communicate proactively with fellow RBTs, BCBAs, families, and Clinical Directors.
- Conduct behavior-analytic assessments and train staff or caregivers on behavior-analytic programs.
- Write and revise behavior-analytic programs while maintaining the BACB Ethical Compliance Code.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or graduation from a BACB approved Master’s or Certification Program.
- Ability to pass the RBT exam within 30 days of employment.
- Must be an active RBT for 60 days with Helping Hands Family.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Relevant academic background in Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, Sociology, Human Resources, Criminal Justice, or Biology.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- The role is paid and follows a rolling term schedule.
- Employment is contingent upon a comprehensive background check and E-Verify completion.
