About the role#
This Fellowship provides paid supervision hours through a structured clinical program. You will provide one-on-one ABA behavior interventions to teach communication, practice daily living skills, and encourage positive behaviors. Fellows complete both restricted and unrestricted activities to meet the requirements for the BCBA exam. This includes a 7-level development program, BCBA mentorship, and 3 months of co-consulting with a BCBA for 30 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Build trusting relationships with clients through social interaction.
- Encourage the development of communication, social skills, and problem-solving.
- Guide clients toward safe behaviors and reduce prompts to promote independence.
- Provide positive reinforcement to increase desirable behaviors.
- Accurately collect unbiased behavior data.
- Communicate proactively with RBTs, BCBAs, families, and Clinical Directors.
- Train staff and caregivers on behavior-analytic programs.
- Conduct behavior-analytic assessments and write program revisions.
- Research relevant literature for client programming.
- Maintain adherence to the BACB Ethical Compliance Code.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment or graduation from a BACB approved Master’s or Certification Program. The program must have a BACB reported exam pass rate of 60% or higher for 3 consecutive years or be ABAI/APBA accredited.
- Ability to pass the RBT exam within 30 days of employment.
- Must be an active RBT for 60 days with Helping Hands Family.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for recording notes and speaking with families.
- Degrees in Psychology, Public Health, or Nursing are preferred.
