About the role#
This BCBA Fellowship provides paid supervision hours through a structured clinical program. You will work one-on-one with clients using ABA interventions to teach communication, daily living skills, and positive behaviors. The program allows you to complete unrestricted activities to meet requirements for the BCBA exam. You will work with a BCBA mentor on guided practice throughout the fellowship.
What you'll do#
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with clients through social interaction.
- Encourage the development of communication, social skills, and problem-solving.
- Guide clients toward safe behaviors and provide positive reinforcement to increase desirable actions.
- Accurately collect unbiased behavior data.
- Communicate with RBTs, BCBAs, families, and Clinical Directors.
- Train staff and caregivers on behavior-analytic programs.
- Conduct behavior-analytic assessments, such as functional analyses and stimulus preference assessments.
- Write and revise behavior-analytic programs.
- Research literature relevant to client programming.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or graduation from a BACB approved Master’s or Certification Program. The program must have a BACB reported exam pass rate of 60 percent or higher for three consecutive years or be ABAI/APBA accredited.
- Pass the RBT exam within 30 days of employment if not already certified.
- Must be an active RBT for 60 days with Helping Hands Family.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for speaking with families and recording session notes.
