About the role#
The Procurement Intern will join the strategic sourcing team to support core business operations. This position offers hands-on training and mentorship, allowing interns to contribute to real projects while gaining exposure to procurement processes and supplier management. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist with procurement projects across key categories.
- Support supplier data analysis to identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
- Participate in RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, bid analysis, supplier evaluations, and sourcing events.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and procurement insights.
- Prepare and maintain monthly strategic sourcing reports and key performance metrics.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to support sourcing initiatives.
- Maintain procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation.
- Participate in negotiations, supplier meetings, and project discussions.
- Develop and present recommendations based on data analysis and business needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Engineering, Mining, or Energy Management.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Curiosity regarding procurement trends, including automation, spend analytics, and supplier management.
