About the role#
Heidelberg Materials is hiring a Mining Engineer Intern to support construction management operations. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Jamesville, New York. You will work on-site and participate in the daily planning and execution of construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Support construction managers with daily project planning and coordination.
- Monitor project progress to keep work aligned with timelines and budgets.
- Prepare and review project documents, reports, and schedules.
- Work with team members to identify and resolve project challenges.
- Visit sites to observe construction activities and ensure teams follow safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Clear communication and a focus on teamwork.
- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to new situations.
- A desire to learn new concepts and gain practical experience in construction management.
Location & details#
- Location: Jamesville, New York.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $23.00 to $29.00 per hour.
- Requirements: You must pass a post-offer physical exam, drug and alcohol screen, and background check. Some roles require ongoing FMCSA regulated drug and alcohol testing.
- Environment: You will work in environments with moving mechanical equipment, varying weather conditions, and elevated noise levels.
