About the role#
As a Business Analyst Intern, you will participate in a formal program designed to bridge your academic studies with real-world business objectives. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to analyze information and support solutions that address organizational needs. This is a 10-week paid internship where you will gain experience in the healthcare payer industry while learning our specific processes, programs, and technologies.
What you'll do#
- Own components of project work and deliverables with guidance from a mentor and manager.
- Conduct research and analyze data to develop recommendations that inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on departmental initiatives to improve business outcomes and the client experience.
- Develop and deliver a final presentation to department leadership regarding your project results.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, Corporate Integrity, and other compliance policies.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree as a rising senior with a major in Business Administration, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Available for the full 10-week program duration.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Office 365 and virtual team collaboration tools.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- A results-oriented mindset with an eagerness to learn and contribute.
- Prior technical internship experience, leadership roles, or involvement in IT-related associations are considered a plus.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Please note that sponsorship is not available for this role.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Chicago, IL or Downers Grove, IL.
- The role operates on a hybrid schedule, with an expectation to be in the office a minimum of three days per week.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
