About the role#
This is a rolling internship opportunity for a Mechanical or Piping Engineering student. You will join our team in Montreal to work on projects across the mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors. You will gain exposure to all stages of a project, from conceptual design through to construction and commissioning, while working alongside experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Participate in site investigations and field assessments.
- Collect field data and measurements.
- Assist with equipment inspections and evaluations.
- Support the selection and integration of mechanical equipment.
- Extract and interpret information from engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Assist in preparing procurement packages, cost estimates, and construction specifications.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and documentation.
- Assist with the sizing and design of piping systems and related equipment.
- Perform hydraulic and pressure drop calculations.
- Support piping stress analyses and assist with piping modifications or replacement projects.
- Participate in project planning, estimating, scheduling, and proposal preparation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and resourcefulness.
- An interest in consulting engineering and industrial projects.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt in an evolving environment.
- Strong organizational skills and a willingness to learn.
- English proficiency, both written and verbal.
