About the role#
As an Engineering Intern within the Infrastructure group, you will work from our Columbus office. This position offers the chance to contribute to water infrastructure projects while gaining practical experience in a professional services environment. You will work alongside senior engineers and designers to support projects that require technical precision and sustainable solutions.
What you'll do#
- Develop green stormwater infrastructure and site designs.
- Prepare construction plans, design calculations, engineering estimates, and specifications.
- Apply civil engineering principles to solve design problems.
- Create detailed project designs and support the preparation of drawings from notes and specifications.
- Work independently to select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
- Coordinate with other technicians and engineers to ensure project success.
- Provide support to senior staff as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program for civil or environmental engineering.
- A minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- A willingness to travel to various Hatch offices, project sites, and supplier locations.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is an asset.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred.
- Submission of an official or unofficial transcript with your application.
