About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in our Tampa office. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects and participate in our 12-week program starting May 17, 2027. This role is on-site and does not include relocation or housing assistance.
What you'll do#
- Support various engineering tasks to build your technical and professional skills.
- Learn basic principles of Civil Engineering.
- Assist with field work, project research, and preliminary design analysis.
- Help prepare cost estimates, special provisions, and final design plans.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete training on assigned tasks.
- Follow company policies, including the Code of Conduct, and make responsible decisions regarding resources.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor, Master, or PhD program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to follow direction from managers and mentors.
- Strong communication skills and basic proficiency with technical writing and office software.
- A track record of prioritizing workplace safety.
- Preferred experience includes prior leadership involvement, previous internships, and proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, or Geopak.
