About the role#
As an Engineering Intern within our Infrastructure group, you will contribute to water-related projects while working from our Pittsburgh office. This role involves supporting senior engineers and designers on complex, global projects. You will gain hands-on experience by applying your academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges in an office environment.
What you'll do#
- Develop green stormwater infrastructure, site designs, construction plans, and detailed specifications.
- Perform engineering calculations and prepare project estimates.
- Support the creation of drawings based on technical notes and specifications.
- Apply civil engineering principles to solve design problems within an interdisciplinary team.
- Evaluate and select standard engineering techniques and procedures.
- Coordinate with technicians and other engineers to ensure project progress.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program for civil or environmental engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to travel to various Hatch offices, project sites, and supplier locations as needed.
- A submitted transcript with your application.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is helpful.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.
