About the role#
As a Commissioning Intern, you will work within our Business Practices Consulting group. You will support global offices while based in our Pittsburgh, PA location. This role involves supporting the technical readiness and operational capacity of projects. We maintain an in-office environment to encourage collaboration, though some flexibility is provided.
What you'll do#
- Support commissioning planning, setup activities, and technology development initiatives.
- Assist in the development of test plans and commissioning procedures.
- Provide technical support for testing, data collection, and field troubleshooting.
- Process test results, measure project progress, and manage documentation.
- Help develop commissioning estimates, budgets, forecasts, and schedules.
- Coordinate with construction planning teams to align commissioning systems with work packages.
- Review technical documentation, including P&IDs, flow diagrams, and network architecture drawings.
- Assist with detailed design preparation and support the creation of drawings from specifications.
- Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and senior staff on various project assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in electrical, computer, mechanical, chemical, or process engineering.
- A minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong report writing, planning, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel to Hatch offices, project sites, and supplier locations.
- Previous co-op or internship experience in project execution, commissioning, or construction is an asset.
- Experience using Visio or similar tools is an asset.
- Submission of a transcript is required with your application.
