About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern for our outpatient clinic in Oviedo. This is a paid, full-time position for individuals pursuing a career in mental health. You will work as an independent contractor with the flexibility to set your own hours. We support both in-person and telehealth appointments.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, provide diagnoses, and deliver therapeutic interventions.
- Offer various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists and social workers.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services in compliance with company policies.
What you'll need#
- A master degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Prior work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
- Majors in Psychology, Public Health, Nursing, or Health Administration are relevant to this role.
