About the role#
As a Clinical Intern at ThreePeaks Ascent, you will gain hands-on experience in a residential treatment setting. You will work alongside licensed professionals to support adolescents and their families through a program that combines traditional therapeutic practices with nature-based experiences.
What you'll do#
- Support experienced clinicians in the delivery of therapeutic services.
- Assist in facilitating therapeutic groups for adolescents and families.
- Engage with clients through active listening to build rapport.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress.
- Collaborate with a team of therapists and mental health professionals.
- Participate in training sessions, team discussions, and family support activities.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Social Work, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of therapeutic practices and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass criminal investigation background checks.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or the ability to obtain these upon hire.
- Strong willingness to learn and engage with clients and families.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.

- This is a full-time, paid internship position.
