About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic in Melbourne. This role supports our network of mental health professionals by providing direct care to children, adolescents, and adults. You will function as an independent contractor with the flexibility to set your own working hours.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, determine diagnoses, and deliver therapeutic interventions.
- Offer various modalities of counseling services to patients.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and social workers.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services in accordance with company policies.
- Engage in continuing education to stay updated on clinical advancements.
What you'll need#
- A master degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or current progress toward obtaining one.
- Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Melbourne, Florida.
- Modality: On-site with options for telehealth.
- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- Schedule: Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person visits, with telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday.
