About the role#
As a Controls + Automation Co-Op, you will work on engineering assignments that grow in complexity. You will use your theoretical knowledge and design methods to assist our team. This role involves working under direct supervision alongside other teammates. You may have the opportunity to provide on-site support depending on project needs.
What you'll do#
- Assist with automation and controls engineering, including DCS, PLC, and HMI systems development.
- Produce detail design calculations, spreadsheets, reports, drawings, and sketches for various projects.
- Help engineers and specialists resolve routine layout and detailing problems.
- Create estimate level preliminary designs.
- Manage your time to ensure all assignments are completed on schedule.
- Learn and apply automation engineering design standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master program for Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering at an accredited university.
- A GPA of 2.7 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.

- Location: Houston, Texas.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid position.
- The term is rolling.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States.
