About the role#
This internship offers experience in creative writing, content development, and greeting card product strategy. You will work with writers, editors, and product teams to create consumer-focused content that helps people connect. This is a full-time, 12-week program during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Write original content for greeting cards and related products.
- Explore emerging trends, voices, and cultural insights relevant to Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
- Learn how to plan, develop, and curate greeting card programs.
- Conduct editorial analysis and consumer research to find new content opportunities.
- Develop editorial concepts that connect with consumers.
- Partner with writers, designers, and product teams throughout the creative process.
- Present creative recommendations and concepts to company leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- A graduation date between December 2027 and May 2030.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Demonstrated interest in writing, content creation, publishing, media, or product development.
- Familiarity with social and cultural trends relevant to Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
- Experience gained through coursework, publications, student organizations, freelance work, or personal projects.
- Completion and submission of all nine required portfolio exercises. Applications without these exercises will not be reviewed.
Location & details#
- Location: Kansas City, Missouri.
- Modality: Hybrid. You will work from our headquarters and your residence within the Kansas City metro area.
- Relocation is required for this role, with some assistance provided for those living outside the metro area.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
