About the role#
Halff is hiring a Public Works Intern for our Fort Worth office. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027. You will work under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer to support civil engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Design civil engineering projects.
- Assist in preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Public Works and Transportation projects.
- Perform drafting CAD work.
- Complete calculations and analysis for design projects.
- Assist in preparing permit applications and regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Civil Engineering or an ABET accredited equivalent engineering degree.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work well within a team.
- Self-motivation and strong organizational skills.

- Location: Fort Worth, Texas.
- Term: June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday, 8a-5p.
