About the role#
As an Agronomy Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in field operations and crop management. You will work under the direction of location management to learn the foundations of the agronomy industry. This role prepares you for a future career by providing exposure to daily cooperative functions and customer interactions.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of facility equipment.
- Operate technology and equipment for field research and crop scouting.
- Apply crop nutrition and protection products.
- Manage ordering, receiving, and inventory tasks.
- Build professional relationships with FS locations and customers.
- Follow safety policies, including OSHA and DOT procedures.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree or certification from a college or university.
- Ability to obtain a CDL and a commercial applicator license with required endorsements.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to work independently.
- Willingness to participate in required training programs.
- Ability to lift 51 to 70 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions or at elevated heights.
- Ability to travel independently, including overnight stays when necessary.

- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
