About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in agronomy operations at AgVantage FS. You will work under the direction of location management to learn the foundations of the agriculture industry and the GROWMARK System. The role is designed to prepare you for a future career in agriculture through practical training and project work.
What you'll do#
- Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
- Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology.
- Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products.
- Help with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
- Visit locations and customers to build professional relationships.
- Participate in all Exploring Agriculture Internship Program activities, including weekly reporting and an operational project.
- Attend the required orientation meeting in Bloomington, IL, on May 17-18, 2027.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree or certification from a community college, technical college, or university.
- Must be in good academic standing at the start of the internship.
- Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to obtain a CDL and a commercial applicator's license.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and at elevated heights.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Location: Hudson, Iowa.
- Terms: Winter 2027 or Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Minimum of 9-10 weeks.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
