About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in corporate accounting and tax. You will work with the External Reporting, Technical Accounting, and Tax teams on real projects. The program lasts 10 weeks and includes mentorship, executive speaker sessions, site visits, and networking opportunities. You will conclude the summer by presenting a Final Capstone Project.
What you'll do#
- Assist with quarterly financial reporting and financial statement disclosures.
- Support accounting research, technical accounting projects, and reporting processes.
- Prepare tax workpapers and documentation for tax returns, audits, and REIT compliance.
- Help with investor tax documentation, including Schedule K-1s and related communications.
- Maintain and reconcile accounting and tax tracking information.
- Partner with accounting, tax, and business teams on projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A curious, collaborative, and eager mindset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
