About the role#
This internship provides support to the Risk Management team for projects across CSM Corporation and CSM Lodging Services Incorporated. You will gain experience in project management, real estate management, and financial analysis through hands-on work and mentorship from the Internal Auditor. The role runs from early January 2027 through May 2027, with the potential to extend into a full-time summer internship.
What you'll do#
- Support the Internal Auditor on company-wide audits.
- Conduct business analysis to identify process requirements, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Create and maintain business process documentation, including process maps and root cause analysis.
- Assist with risk identification, assessment, and monitoring activities.
- Help departments develop and maintain policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least three years of college, preferably in Business Administration or Accounting.
- Working knowledge of risk management frameworks and internal audit principles.
- Familiarity with Visio or similar process-mapping tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to identify solutions that balance risk mitigation and business objectives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.
- A solid work ethic and a sense of personal responsibility for work outcomes.
Location & details#
- Location: On-site in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Schedule: 20+ hours per week with flexibility to accommodate school schedules.
- Compensation: $25.00 per hour.
