About the role#
As a Property Accounting Intern, you will gain hands-on experience with the day-to-day responsibilities of an Accountant at Greystar. This full-time internship takes place during the summer of 2027. You will work on real projects, participate in an executive speaker series, and complete a final capstone project to showcase your contributions.
What you'll do#
- Manage full-cycle accounting tasks for a set number of properties.
- Review financial statements and prepare journal entries.
- Handle bank reconciliations and perform accounting control procedures.
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results and financial reports.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process by gathering and organizing financial data.
- Complete in-house training programs and collaborate with various teams to provide financial support.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027.
- A quantitative background with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A high standard of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

- This position is based in Charleston, South Carolina.
- The role offers a hybrid work model, with the flexibility to work remotely or on-site.
- The internship is paid at a rate of $21.00 per hour.
- The program runs from June 2, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
