About the role#
Enterprise Assurance Services (EAS) Interns support organizations in strengthening governance, risk management, and internal controls. You will work across a portfolio of client engagements, helping to build trust in the information organizations share with their stakeholders. This role provides hands-on experience in IT audit, SOC reporting, sustainability reporting, and employee benefit plan audits.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning and executing client engagements by understanding objectives, risks, and control environments.
- Evaluate and test business process, information technology, and automated controls.
- Support IT audit, SOC reporting, sustainability reporting, and employee benefit plan audit engagements.
- Use data analytics tools and AI-enabled technologies to improve efficiency and identify insights.
- Draft workpapers, reports, client communications, and other deliverables.
- Collaborate with engagement teams to deliver solutions and participate in client meetings.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Interest in pursuing professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, or CIA.
- CPA eligibility is preferred for certain assurance-focused roles.
- Ability to work additional hours and travel as necessary.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (requires in-person attendance at least three days per week at a firm office or client site).
- Compensation: $37 per hour.
- Status: Full-time and paid.
