About the role#
The Intern Field Engineer position supports construction engineering operations to ensure work meets all engineering standards. You will work on-site, assisting with technical support and project documentation. This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Interpret design drawings for takeoffs, bidding, and construction.
- Prepare and distribute status reports, punch lists, sketches, and material calculations.
- Provide technical support regarding project materials, delivery schedules, and construction timelines.
- Assist with change orders and estimates by preparing necessary drawings.
- Develop data including quantity take-offs and material pricing.
- Maintain records of quantities for work performed and materials installed to support cost controls.
- Support corporate safety initiatives and maintain a safe work environment.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in construction estimating, engineering, or field support.
- Proficiency with MS Office products.
- Ability to perform trigonometric calculations.
- Ability to communicate effectively and assume responsibility.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive.
- Commitment to safety.
