About the role#
GM Financial offers a full-time summer internship program for students interested in accounting. This is a paid position based in Fort Worth, Texas, for the summer of 2027. You will work 40 hours per week for 11 consecutive weeks, from May 26 to August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside industry leaders on projects.
- Give presentations and communicate with business leaders.
- Participate in development opportunities and connect with peers.
- Attend all company-sponsored events for interns.
- Use AI tools like Microsoft Copilot to support daily tasks, research, and content generation.
- Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias.
- Integrate AI into workflows while maintaining an understanding of responsible use.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program or higher in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Junior or Senior classification is preferred.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous internship experience is a plus.

- Location: Fort Worth, Texas.
- Schedule: Hybrid, with two days per week in the office.
