About the role#
This is a 12-week paid summer internship within the R&D Product Development team. You will work on projects that support product formulation, bench top development, nutritional analysis, sensory testing, and production runs. You will gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, from initial concept to final implementation, while working in our labs and plant spaces.
What you'll do#
- Own a specific R&D project and present your findings to leadership.
- Support the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and completion.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate processes and suggest practical improvements.
- Assist with project scope, budgets, documentation, and equipment specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, quality, brand, marketing, and sales.
- Apply R&D principles to real product development challenges.
- Participate in program activities, workshops, and networking events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate bachelor's degree program in food science or a related field.
- An anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028.
- Strong interpersonal and clear written communication skills.
- A self-starter mindset and high motivation to work independently.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
