About the role#
As a Quality Operations Intern, you will join our 12-week summer program to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing operations. You will own a project that addresses a specific business challenge, taking it from concept through to implementation. This role involves working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, maintenance, and safety, to improve our processes. You will also participate in the Pure Ambition program, which includes workshops, networking events, and presentations to leadership.
What you'll do#
- Lead a manufacturing operations or quality project and present your findings to leadership.
- Manage project tasks including scope, schedules, budgets, documentation, and equipment specifications.
- Collect and analyze data to recommend solutions for safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance partners.
- Apply operations and quality principles to real-world manufacturing challenges.
- Participate in intern development workshops and networking events.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering, or Biology or Chemistry.
- Anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Mathematical skills including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret bar graphs.

- This is a paid, full-time summer 2027 internship.
- The role is based in Aurora, Illinois, with a hybrid work schedule.
