About the role#
Glanbia is hiring a Supply Chain intern for a 12-week program during the summer of 2027. You will work on-site at our manufacturing facility in Aurora, Illinois. This role offers hands-on experience in supply chain and warehouse operations, including project ownership, mentorship from industry professionals, and participation in the Pure Ambition program.
What you'll do#
- Lead a project that addresses a specific business challenge and present your findings to leadership.
- Support the full project lifecycle from initial concept and planning through to implementation.
- Collect and analyze data to recommend solutions that improve safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
- Assist with project scopes, budgets, documentation, and equipment specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, quality, and safety teams.
- Work alongside contractors and vendors to support technical problem-solving.
- Apply supply chain principles to manufacturing challenges while learning internal standards and continuous improvement practices.
- Engage in development workshops, networking events, and intern presentations.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Mathematical skills including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret bar graphs.
