About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Tampa, Florida. You will work on-site to support inventory management and production accuracy. This role reports to the Plant Controller and involves frequent coordination with the Quality and Material Management departments.
What you'll do#
- Perform cycle counts before and after production runs and follow the SAP schedule.
- Reconcile finished goods production with inventory records in SAP.
- Ensure daily production postings and process orders are accurate and closed on time.
- Manage inventory documentation, including bills of lading, adjustments, and vendor paperwork.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, standard loss factors, and aging inventory.
- Review the corporate Hold Log weekly and track destruction requests.
- Coordinate the year-end physical inventory process and validate month-end cutoff requirements.
- Complete reporting for co-pack customers.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret graphs.
- Ability to organize data and maintain clear records.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal English communication skills.
- An Associate degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Accounting is preferred.
- Prior experience with inventory control or ERP systems, preferably SAP, is preferred.

- Physical requirements: This role requires continuous standing or walking and the ability to lift or carry material of moderate weight. You will work in environments that may be hot or cold depending on the season.
