About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship within our Research and Development department. You will focus on analytical chemistry projects and present your findings at the end of the term. You will gain exposure to R&D, food safety, and quality processes through training, shadowing, and hands-on work.
What you'll do#
- Design experiments and perform data analysis.
- Characterize samples using basic methods like brix, acidity, and pH testing.
- Conduct HPLC analysis for components such as sugars.
- Perform pesticide analysis using GC-MS and LC-MS/MS.
- Carry out forensic analysis of samples.
- Prepare and present your project results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s Degree or PhD program.
- Academic focus in Food Science, Food Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques and experimental design.
- Experience with GC, LC, or column chromatography and fractionation.
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
