About the role#
This internship offers the chance to contribute to research projects within the Medicinal Chemistry and Structural Biology & Chemistry departments. You will work on-site in Foster City, California, for 10 to 12 weeks during the summer of 2027. This is a paid, full-time position that operates on a hybrid schedule.
What you'll do#
- Perform in-silico experiments to support departmental research activities.
- Collect and prepare structural, bioactivity, or analytical data using public and in-house software.
- Generate analysis with actionable inferences and develop tools for your assigned project.
- Participate in group meetings to discuss research and progress.
- Present your work at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program at a nationally accredited U.S. university, with continued enrollment in the following Fall semester.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
- Progress toward a degree in Computer Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related AI-focused field.
- Hands-on experience with Python, machine learning, statistical modeling, or generative AI tools.
- Completion of organic chemistry course work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity.
