About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to contribute to real-world evidence and epidemiology projects within the virology department. You will gain experience at a biotechnology research organization while working on projects that support our mission. The program includes professional development, leadership presentations, and networking activities.
What you'll do#
- Conduct or assist with literature reviews.
- Analyze administrative claims, electronic medical record databases, or other data sources.
- Support epidemiology and pharmacovigilance needs.
- Participate in group discussions within the RWE team and across other departments.
- Present your work at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program.
- Continued full-time enrollment in the Fall semester following the internship.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Independent authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Preferred majors: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or Public Health.
- Preferred degree levels: Master’s or PhD.

- Location: Foster City, California.
- Term: Summer 2027 (10-12 consecutive weeks between May and August).
- Modality: Hybrid (on-site presence required).
