About the role#
As a Software Developer Intern on the Altitude team, you will work closely with the Reporting and Authentication group. You will collaborate with fellow developers and the Product team to improve and implement features that directly impact how customers interact with our application. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Design software solutions and troubleshoot bugs.
- Develop software using C# on .Net Core.
- Create database access code using SQL queries and Postgres.
- Build UI components with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Write automated unit tests using XUnit in C#.
- Use GIT for source control.
- Participate in team meetings, discussions, and peer reviews.
- Write technical documentation and communicate with internal stakeholders.
- Perform general debugging and testing.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with object-oriented design, unit testing, optimization, and multithreaded programming, preferably in C# and .Net.
- Experience developing applications for a Linux environment.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems to reach well-judged decisions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Technical competence with software programs, including Google Suite for business.
- Experience with OAuth 2.0, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is considered an asset.
