    About the role#

    General Dynamics Mission Systems is looking for a Systems Engineering Intern to join the Autonomous Maritime Platforms team. You will support the development, implementation, and testing of advanced autonomous systems for surface and subsea domains. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to defense programs and national security missions while working alongside experienced engineers.

    What you'll do#

    • Apply your classroom knowledge to real-world defense programs.
    • Collaborate with technical teams on various engineering projects.
    • Work with customers to build solutions for national security missions.
    • Participate in the full lifecycle of autonomous system development and testing.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in an accredited degree program for Computer, Systems, Software, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • A solid understanding of engineering technology.
    • Sophomore standing or higher is preferred.
    • U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
    • A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred.

    • Location: Quincy, Massachusetts.
    • Modality: On-site and hybrid options available.
    • Term: Winter 2027.
    • Compensation: This is a paid internship with a pay range of $22.00 to $29.25 per hour.
    • Status: Full-time.
