About the role#
The Telegram & Gazette is looking for a Reporting Intern to join our newsroom. You will contribute to our coverage of Worcester County, including local news, sports, and community events. This is a paid, full-time opportunity for students seeking professional experience. You will receive one-on-one coaching and mentoring while learning to manage your own assignments in a deadline-driven environment.
What you'll do#
- Contribute editorially by finding story ideas and exploring the community.
- Handle reporting, writing, editing, research, video production, and visual journalism.
- Work alongside news editors and reporters to sharpen your skills.
- Participate in news meetings to learn how news developments take shape.
- Manage your own stories independently and effectively.
What you'll need#
- You must be a degree-seeking student currently enrolled at Clark University.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A detail-oriented, adaptable, and flexible approach to your work.
- A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the minimum liability insurance required by state law.
