About the role#
The Minnesota Star Tribune is hiring a Product Management Intern for the Summer 2027 term. Based at our headquarters in Minneapolis, you will join our Product and Technology team to help build digital products that support local journalism. You will work alongside experienced product managers and cross-functional teams to contribute to the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and strategy to final optimization.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, designers, data analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Support product development through user research, testing, experimentation, and data analysis.
- Assist in defining product strategy and identifying ways to improve user experiences.
- Help plan, refine, and execute new product features.
- Conduct competitive research and analyze industry trends.
- Develop user communication strategies for product launches and feature adoption.
- Help establish and track objectives and key results (OKRs).
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure product quality.
- Partner with teams to gather requirements, align priorities, and deliver solutions.
- Take ownership of projects tailored to your individual interests, skills, and career goals.
What you'll need#
- Current college junior, senior, graduate student, or recent graduate.
- Ability to learn new concepts, tools, and technologies quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
