About the role#
The Minnesota Star Tribune is hiring for a Food & Culture Reporting Internship for the summer of 2027. This is a 10-week, full-time, paid position based in our Minneapolis newsroom. You will work alongside editors, photographers, and other reporters to produce substantive news stories covering arts, entertainment, restaurants, and food.
What you'll do#
- Develop your own story ideas.
- Execute assigned reporting tasks.
- Collaborate with the news team to produce daily news and enterprise stories.
- Work regularly from our office.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a college junior, senior, or graduate student.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work under deadline pressure.
- Flexibility in a newsroom environment.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in web research tools and publishing software like InCopy is preferred.
- Majors in Journalism or Communications.

- Compensation: $21.25 per hour ($850 per week).
- Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
