About the role#
As a Product and Technology Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the energy technology sector. You will work with experienced professionals to solve real-world problems and contribute to the company mission. This position requires you to take ownership of your work, collaborate across departments, and present project outcomes to the leadership team at the end of your term.
What you'll do#
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the First Solar business model and technology environment.
- Perform analytical project work and participate in or lead meetings with staff and customers.
- Lead at least one engineering-based project, such as new product design, competitor benchmarking, or energy prediction analysis, and provide an end-of-term report.
- Work collaboratively with multiple departments to deliver project objectives.
- Participate in work-specific training and development programs.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate enrollment in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum overall G.P.A. of 3.00 on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and adapt to changing project needs.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
- Preference may be given to candidates available to fulfill multiple internship terms.
Location & details#
- Location: Perrysburg, Ohio.
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 31, 2026, to November 30, 2026).
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour.
- Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, or walk for up to 12 hours per day, lift up to 58 pounds, and wear required personal protective equipment.
